Rashid Darden co-founded the Federal City Club in 2016.  It was a community service club for working professionals.

Rashid was President of the club for the two-year life of the organization, until it unanimously voted to dissolve and disseminate its assets to various charitable causes including food insecurity, personal hygiene and dignity, literacy, and social justice.

By the end of 2017, the Federal City Club had reached approximately 500 individuals in Washington, DC neighborhoods.
